17 kilos gone, 35 kilos to go

On the 1st of January this year I started my health and wellness journey.

I won't call it a weight loss journey as it is not all about the weight being lost but the regaining of one's fitness and mobility.  At 151 kilos it gets harder to do the simple things like tying up your own shoelaces etc.

I took my daughters ten pin bowling but then had to ask one of them to tie my laces, I know they are willing to return the favour after me doing it for so many years but I knew that something had to change.

On the 18th of August I was hospitalised after a minor stroke and today I am grateful to be still here writing this post and continuing my journey back to healthy.

I have done countless programs over the years, KISS, 12WBT, Get Commando Fit, etc etc etc and each time I lose a bit of weight and then it comes back on again.

This time I am going to simplify things in my life, go back to basics and enjoy doing the things that I love like baking with my daughters and walking the dog.

I need to take measurements etc to know what they are and probably a before photo but here I go ... again!!

Double digits, this will be the last time I head towards you as I don't intend to repeat the process again and have two daughters to be a role model for.

Let the new challenge begin.

First step: DRINK MORE WATER!!
